Join Liberty Hall Volunteers

Anyone interested in the history of the RLDS Church (now the Community of Christ) and its leadership is invited to volunteer at Liberty Hall. Volunteers have the opportunity to meet and enjoy visitors as they tell them this story.

Volunteer Orientation

Volunteers may assist in many areas besides guiding tours - including research; cataloging and caring for artifacts, historic photographs and books, working with plants and care of the home, and other special projects. Some volunteers may prefer to not direct guided tours, but may work in these other areas. Liberty Hall seeks to provide an intellectually stimulating, socially rewarding and spiritually fulfilling experience for the volunteer staff. Volunteers can participate as much or as little as they want.

Liberty Hall offers these opportunities as well as training related to these tasks. After orientation on the history of the Community of Christ, Joseph Smith III, Liberty Hall, and the Lamoni community followed by one-on-one training, volunteers are ready to begin their service.

Anyone who can participate at least one day a month can join the team of committed volunteers. If so, contact Liberty Hall Historic Hall at 641-784-6133 to begin a rewarding journey as a Liberty Hall volunteer.

The Liberty Hall Resource Group has been created to assist the Site staff in carrying out this mission. [MORE]
